A 911 call about shots fired at 15 East Grant Street came in just after 4:30 PM on September 2. Johnson, 35, had been removed from his unit earlier on September 2. He remained in the building or its immediate vicinity after the eviction proceeding rather than leaving the premises. The building stands near the Minneapolis Convention Center in a densely populated area of downtown.
