DIA Insider Threat Specialist Pleads Guilty After FBI Catches Classified Dead Drop

Nathan Vilas Latsch, 29, a Defense Intelligence Agency Insider Threat Division IT specialist, pleaded guilty on August 26, 2026 to attempted transmission of national defense information after an FBI undercover officer posed as his foreign government contact and monitored two dead drops in northern Virginia before arresting him on May 29, 2025.
