Police deployed drone technology into a barricaded residence on South Pattie in south Wichita on Thursday morning as SWAT negotiators worked to secure a peaceful surrender following a pre-dawn shooting that left one person in critical condition.

An armed suspect with a long rifle and explosives has been barricaded since midday June 9 in a south Minneapolis apartment after firing on Hennepin County deputies, shooting down a police drone, and releasing two hostages; FBI and ATF are on scene with the standoff ongoing.
